Blonde bombshell Gretchen Rossi made a considerable impression on viewers when she joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County in Season 4 and exposed some of the most poignant and personal details of her life. Gretchen grew up in La Cresenta, CA and attended Baylor University in Dallas, Texas, where she studied psychology. Following college, Gretchen went into the then-booming South Orange County real estate industry, but quit working to take care of her fiancé at the time, Jeff, who passed away from Leukemia shortly after their engagement. Now, years later, Gretchen is building her empire — growing the Gretchen Christine make-up and handbag line, as well venturing into entertainment, including singing and dancing with the Pussycat Dolls in Las Vegas.
Slade is still the man in Gretchen’s life, but after a year of asking for a “lease agreement,” Gretchen is finally speaking up about their relationship. She admits that Slade has troubles expressing his emotions, and she thinks it is getting in her way of fully committing to him. When Gretchen tells Slade that she is getting friendly with Tamra, he explodes, reminding her that Vicki and Tamra have been the cause of major emotional damage in his life. Gretchen wants Slade to let the past go, but he refuses and his resentment towards the two wives creates a feud in the group. Gretchen and Alexis are still extremely close, but Gretchen worries that Alexis is taking advantage of their relationship. She feels like Alexis doesn’t think for herself, and she agrees with Heather and Tamra that Alexis can sometimes be a phony. When Gretchen tries to discuss this with Alexis, the friendship becomes strained leaving Gretchen to question their future.
