The Scottish DJ Chris Lake was born in 1982 and rose to fame initially for his remixes of such notable hits as the Eurythmics “Sweet Dreams.” Lake rose to fame with his single “Changes” featuring Laura V in 2006, though, garnering the attention of Universal Music, which licensed the song for worldwide release and brought Chris Lake to the forefront of the dance music scene.

“Changes” rose into the top ten on the Billboard’s dance charts, and paved the way for the additional hits “Carry Me Away” (featuring Emma Hewitt) and “If You Only Knew” (featuring Nastala.) Additional notable songs include “Filth,” “Hiatus,” “One Too Many/Electro Retro,” “Until She Rises,” “Start Again,” “Minimal Life,” “Sleepwalker,” “Running Out,” “Cross the Line,” “Build Up,” “Damage Control,” and the songs “Stand Alone” and “Helium,” both featuring Jareth.

Chris Lake has released the album Crazy (2009) and the EP Mistakes (2006), from his own labels, Rising Music and Rising Trax. Chris Lake continues to mix, perform, and record, and has both original music and future collaborations planned for the coming year.
